Campus Life
Learning happens everywhere and at any time
Study in the academic heart of the UK
Our campus embraces the awe-inspiring atmosphere of England’s oldest university city. Dating back to the 12th century, the University of Oxford has produced a host of notable alumni, including Oscar Wilde, Stephen Hawking, and Malala Yousafzai.
Expand your learning through excursions
You apply what you are learning, gain confidence, and have fun with your friends on trips to universities, laboratories, museums, theatres, and galleries in Oxford, London, and throughout the UK. You also go on immersion trips to Cardiff (IB and A-Level Year 1, grade 11) and Edinburgh (IB and A-Level Year 2, grade 12).
Club, activities and sports
Extracurricular activities are an integral part of the boarding experience—and there’s something for everyone. You can choose from an array of sports, activities, and clubs—or create your own, all while enhancing your profile for university.
Where you can be you: your home away from home
Our welcoming campus community empowers you to come as you are and become who you want to be. Together, we create an inclusive environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging. Sharing everyday life—studying, eating, rooming, exploring, hanging out—is a priceless, life-preparing experience.
Daily mentorship and 24/7 support
Your Pathway Manager, Tutor, Activities Coordinator, House Parent and our Wellness Team work together to help you flourish at all levels: academically, socially and personally.
Residential life
Living at EF Academy Oxford offers more than just a place to stay; it’s a journey of growth, support, and camaraderie that extends well beyond the classroom.
Student stories
Every single one of our students has a unique perspective on the EF Academy experience. Let them tell you in their own words.

Frequently asked questions
We have no formal dress code. You can wear whatever best expresses your personality. Remember, though, that EF Academy students come from a broad range of cultures and backgrounds, so you should always dress in a way that doesn’t cause discomfort to others.
Though not mandatory, we strongly encourage students to join after school programs like clubs and sports, as well as excursions and events organized by our activities team. Exploring a mutual interest is the easiest way to make friends quickly.
Absolutely! We have sports across the whole year where students can practice and compete. We also encourage students to try new sports by joining one or more of our seasonal sports. It’s a great way to make new friends and develop your teamwork and leadership skills.
Many of the clubs offered on-campus are driven by student interest, so the themes range widely from the arts and hobbies to nature exploring and student council. What you do as a member depends on the theme. If you join the Duke of Edinburgh, for example, you’ll go on hikes in the surrounding nature.
We always encourage you to explore activities you wouldn't normally try to discover new interests. You just never know. But if you're passionate about something in particular that isn’t currently offered, speak with our activities team to start your own club!
