Complement your US High School Diploma by taking your favorite subjects at a higher level. EF Academy Pasadena offers a selection of Advanced Placement (AP) Courses that can earn students US college credits and stand out in university applications

US High School Diploma + IB Courses

Students who wish to demonstrate a keen interest in certain subjects can add IB Courses to the US High School Diploma at EF Academy New York. With this combination, students receive IB certificates for each course completed and do not need to complete the IB Core.

FAQ - US High School Diploma

The graduation requirements for the US High School Diploma are based on achieving enough credits across a range of subject groups to graduate from high school. Each course you take counts towards credits, which you earn when you pass the course. In total, you need 22 pass credits to obtain your diploma. There are specifications on the number of credits that must come from each subject group. Your Pathway Manager will be able to explain the specific requirements for your grade level before you begin your program.

IB Course certificates and the IB Diploma are two programs that students can pursue in addition to the US High School Diploma that they already pursue simply by attending EF Academy.
