Class of 2019
After graduation, Aruzhan moved to Canada for her university studies. She pursued a double major at the University of Toronto, graduating with honors in psychology and International Relations, earning a Bachelor of Science.
Having completed the IB Diploma at EF Academy, Aruzhan felt prepared for the academic level of university: “the IB was so multidisciplinary and gave me so many valuable experiences.” The community at EF Academy also prepared her for an international life, “Being at an international school, you talk to so many different people from different cultures—you learn a lot, you expand your perspectives, and you grow as a person. Things like cultural humility, we learned here already.”

Sometimes, Aruzhan has dreams where she’s back on campus, “I wish that I could just repeat a day here, because honestly, I feel like it was one of the most magical experiences of my life. Having an international boarding school experience, nothing else compares to it. It’s really special.”
