Residential life
Boarding students enjoy the ultimate experience of living and learning 24/7 in a global community of 30+ nationalities. Sharing everyday life—studying, eating, rooming, exploring, hanging out—is a priceless intercultural and life-changing experience.
A choice of boarding options
Many of our students live and learn on campus as full boarders. In Pasadena, local students also have the option of being a day student or boarding five days a week and living at home on weekends. Consult with your Enrollment Advisor!
Living with roommates from around the world
So that you get the most out of living in such a diverse community, we ensure your two roommates are from different nationalities than you. Roommate trios are carefully crafted for compatibility in preferences about quiet time, cleanliness, and daily routines. You will enjoy educating each other on your different backgrounds, cultures, and traditions, as across the dorms, we work to build a community that is rich in different perspectives. Standard accommodation is in a triple room.
Note: A limited number of double and single rooms may also be available on request. Contact your Enrollment Advisor for pricing.
Our dining hall offers delicious, nutritious meals with a global fair
Cena, our campus restaurant, serves health-conscious meals each day that showcase local, seasonal ingredients. In addition to main courses inspired by culinary styles from around the globe, there’s always a salad bar, sandwich station, and soups of the day. And with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and halal options, there’s something for everyone!
Your house parent is your go-to for advice and support
A House Parent lives full-time in your dormitory with you. They’re on hand to help you learn how to live independently, cultivate positive relationships with students and staff, and build key life skills. They also help you manage your daily schedule, progress in your studies, and build a network of advisors dedicated to your success. Best of all, their door is always open when you need someone to listen.
In the evenings, campus life shifts to dorm life
Your afternoons will keep you pretty busy with sports, clubs, and activities. You’ll be ready for your evening meal! Then dorm life kicks in with Study Hall, when you catch up on homework and projects. There’s still plenty of free time for gathering in the dorm lounge to watch movies, sing karaoke, play video games, or just hang out with your best friends. All too soon, it will be time for your house parent to conduct the final room check-in so you can get a good night’s sleep.

Full boarding
Full-boarders reside on campus throughout the Academic year except during winter and spring breaks, immersing themselves in a comprehensive and enriching school experience. This option ensures students are fully engaged in academic pursuits and extracurricular activities, fostering a strong sense of community and camaraderie.
Weekly boarding
Weekly boarders typically head home on Friday evening or Saturday afternoon, returning to school either on Sunday evenings or Monday mornings. This arrangement provides many children with the ideal balance: they can fully engage in school activities during the week, dedicate themselves to academics and socializing with friends, and then unwind at home with their parents over the weekends.
Day students
Day students are increasing appeal, especially for those who live in close proximity to the school or have families with more predictable daily schedules. These students commute to and from school each day, allowing them to benefit from the educational offerings and extracurricular activities while still enjoying the comforts of home in the evenings.
